Main Hall
A very flexible space that may be hired for a wide variety of uses such as parties, dances, weddings, theatrical productions, craft fairs and fitness activities. It has a sprung dance floor, central heating, lighting rig. Large raised stage at front and adjacent catering/bar facilities.
- Capacity: Seats an audience of up to 120 people. (12.5m x 8.5m).
- For parties etc. up to 90 dining guests or 160 evening guests without tables.
- The hall is large enough to house a bouncy castle for children’s parties.
- The full size stage is suitable for theatrical productions or can take an eight piece band. At the front of the stage is a drop-down screen for slide or film presentations. There are full width stage curtains at the rear, centre and front of the stage. The conference room behind the stage is suitable as a changing room/ green room for performance artists.
INCLUDED IN THE HIRE of this space are all the catering and bar features of the adjacent John Ellwood Lounge and kitchen/bar facilities plus 12 large collapsible tables, each seating 8-10 people, 10 smaller tables (for four people) and 120 chairs.
Versatile Space
The large main hall is well lit and centrally heated and can be arranged to suit most types of indoor events.
Social Events
The Village Hall organises a number of ticketed musical evenings each year and also offers hire facilities to others who may wish to organise their own.
Catering & Bar
The catering kitchen has all the equipment needed for a large party including glasses, cutlery and crockery for 100 place settings.
Utilities
Excellent modern cloakroom and toilet facilities, including a separate disabled toilet.
